Did you have an STD test, or a PAP smear?

I'm asking this because usually, for STD testing, they tell you all that they tested you for. In order for them to do HIV testing, they would have had to drawn blood or collected saliva.

A PAP smear is a scraping of cervical cells to look at them under a microscope and see if they are turning cancerous. There is no way to determine STDs from that.

PAP smears are given every year to women, but if you don't ask for the STD testing, they won't do it.

If you had a pelvic exam they probably checked you for gonorrhea and chlamydia, also vaginitis. This is done thru cultures that they swab from your vagina. Men are swabbed with a tiny swab stuck in their urethra. Hiv is a blood test. Chlamydia can be checked with your urine, too. If you have sores, they swab that to check for herpes.

you might want to call and ask. some places do and some don't. however, it would take longer for most places to get an HIV test back.

It depends on whether they specifically tested your blood for that. Ask them specifically about that. God Bless you.
