It is possible to cure it without antibiotics, but hard and dangerous. It will take much longer, can lead to serious complications and even death. It is better to use them along with old-fashioned methods like drinking hot tea and staying in bed. Pneumonia is caused by bacteria.

Walking pneumonia only means you have fluid in ONE of your lungs, not TWO.

You need antibiotics to get rid of pneumonia because it can be so serious. WHY won't you go to a doctor? You can't be sure you even have it without an Xray. The doctor needs to diagnose it before it can be treated.

There are several kinds of pneumonia. Your mother got it because of the hospital's inability to keep her body elevated so the phlegm wouldn't go into her lungs. Make sure your mother is sitting up when you see her. The oxygen device is to get pure air into her lungs as she heals. She needs that air.
