I took a test on a friends blood sugar monitor today because I have had some (but not all) symptoms and have diabetes in my family (brother), I had not had breakfast or had anything to drink for 12 hours. It was 11.1, I know this is high but when I did a search all the sites talked about glucose level in the 100's how does 11.1 translate to the glucose level figure, should I be worried?

11.1 mmol/L is 200 mg/dL and this is presumptive of diabetes when measured fasting. That having been said I would repeat the reading tomorrow. If the second reading is also above 100 or 5.6 then you should consult your physician. It would be unfortunate if you have diabetes as it is not a fun disorder. The good news is that treatment options have never been better.

In general terms, the glucose (sugar) level in your blood should be about
4 to 7mmol/l before meals. Less than 10mmol/l 90 minutes after a meal and around 8mmol/l at bedtime. You say that diabetis is 'in your family', in which case you would be advised to ask for a check-up with your doctor, or pop into a diabetic clinic for a test.
Depending in what country you live, you may or may not have to pay for this service.
Hope this helps

This can't be right--you would either be dead or in a coma if blood sugar was 11. I would start all over--use the instruction book with the monitor--recalibrate the monitor and make sure the code on the strip bottle matches the code in the monitor. Also, make sure the test strips are not expired. Use the instruction guide to trouble shoot problems with the monitor. But, to save yourself further worry about this, esp. if having symptoms--make an appt to see your doctor. You cannot appropriately/correctly diagnose diabetes from a one time fingerstick and diabetic monitor anyway. Also, your friend may need a new monitor--they can call number on back of the monitor, explain the problems and see if will send a new one. Good Luck!

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

The answers you have received have got you have you confused, that’s because the people in America who are answering don’t realize that like everything else in Europe, your blood monitors are on the metric system where 5 to 7 is normal – In America 70 to 120 is normal which is why everybody is saying you should be in a coma. Truth is, 11.1 is quite elevated for someone who hasn’t eaten in 12 hours, it should have been at 5 so diabetes is suspect.
