The armadillos ate them (loved that old Dime Bar advert. 'I's likes Armadillos! Crunchy on the outside soft on the inside, Armadillos!')
In all seriousness, they are still out there now known as Daim i think. Not that common in shops, but if you search carefully you should still find them somewhere in msot cities

They are now called Daim (i hate when things change names). I'm lucky to have them in my local shop along with Daim ice-cream cones, bit size daim and chocolate bar with daim crumbled in.
Now I want one!

No they are still dime bars and all supermarkets sweet shops sell them. In Sheffield south yorkshiere anyway.
