Persina food doesn't have any onfluence on Indian food, there are similiarities but oth are quite unique. Persian food is more Middle eastern style.

Yes, I loooove Gogoosh too, she really touches your heart with her voice. I also like kebab Kubida, Ash Reshte is also very nice, it's a kibda soup with beans, with Iranian noodles.

I have never known too much about it except its influence on Indian food, which has been spectacular, producing the famous Indian "kormas" and the "mughlai style." Both use such incredible ingredients such as yogurt, cream, ground or chopped nuts and make the very best curries.

(And yes, "Nara's" web site on middle east cooking is wicked good!)

(And I'm afraid "KK" that if you don't know about the historical influence of Persian culture and especially cuisine in India during the Mogul period, you are quite sadly ignorant. In fact the very name "mogul" comes from the Persian language. The Mogul Emperor Shah Jahan (who built the Taj Mahal) was half Persian and between he and his Persian mother, saw a huge Persian influence in the culture of India in literature, poetry, architecture, arts and especially cusine. All of the forms of cooking in North India commonly referred to as "mughlai style" bear direct influence from Persia!

Might be a better idea to actually check out your information first before ignorantly criticising others............eh?)

i like it and cook dinner it continuously. in actuality, i pass to make tah-chin-e for Christmas dinner. i like tah-dig, ab gusht, and ghorme sabzi. approximately as quickly as a month, we do a koobedeh kabab. yet another element I make is khorest with celery (karafs?) i pass to attempt to make feseanjan quickly. Persian food is the terrific! that is greater helpful than Indian and Mexican- the flavors are so wealthy, you recognize it took alot of time and spices! I stay in l. a., so we've distinctive Persian eating places and markets. ok -there's one million element i do unlike and that's sholeh zard.
