Ok. I know as diabetics we are supposed to wear it, but I was wondering how many of you actually do? I admit I don't and I've been trying to find something I would wear. Unfortunately I'm vain and I'm not going to wear something that looks cheap, but I'm also not going to rob a bank to buy something I like. Anyone know where I can find something nice but inexpensive?

check out Laurens hope . Hollie Barry endorses them. They are not too bad in price, and look nice, many to choose from.

Actually, they make pretty decent looking jewelry now, so it's not all so cheap or funky looking. I've even seen them put on Italian charm braclets now. Try your local drug store and see if they have the order forms available for you to check out the styles and prices and stuff. I know they even make them in 24 karat gold now. I don't wear one for diabetes, but I do wear one for a latex allergy, a drug allergy, and some of my medications. Also, so small independent jewelry stores actually carry them now as well, and they are pretty reasonably priced. Good luck.

I have used the following website to order a watch with the engraving on the back.
www.medicassist.net
The watch is nice and non-offensive, and it helps alert others to your situation which can help save an embarrassing problem otherwise. Try not to be too concerned with the vanity, after all, it's you as you are.
Best wishes and good luck.

There are pins, bracelets, necklaces, charms. I know my dad wears a necklace with his information on it. Better safe than sorry. check out the website below. There were some bracelets that were beaded that look better than the cheap metal bracelets.

I have a MedAlert key chain, but I do need to get the bracelet. They have some nice ones out now that are not too costly.

I would get over your vanity and cosnider your health. If something happens to you, the EMT or doctors will know what to treat you with knowing you are diabetic. If they do not know, they may provide medication which could kill you because they didn't know.
