You should be able to eat spicy food with out any problem. The saying that spicy food will bring on labor is a mith. There are however certain foods you would want to look out for, or ty to avoid. Those include very soft cheeses, unpasteurized cheeses and raw-milk cheese. Though rare, they may contain a bacteria called lysteria that has been associated with miscarriage or pre-term labor.

As long as it doesn't upset your stomach, you are fine.
I ate spicy foods during my pregnancy (it was one of the few things I actually wanted to eat) and baby was fine. Continued to eat spicy foods and breastfeed.
Baby girl is 18 months old and loves spicy foods...
as long as she doesn't see a vegetable...
Congrats on your pregnancy!

Of course you can!
When I used to ask that question to my OBGYN, because my family is Greek and we eat alot of garlic, she used to answer...
Just think of all those Indian mothers out there, and Mexican mothers....they eat spice on a daily basis. The kids are fine!
It's a thought I kept even after the babies were born, I always put spices in their foods, never gave them boring bland food, and now my kids are the best eaters. Not picky in the least with a really good palate to boot!

Sure, though you may have some indigestion. It will not hurt the baby to eat spicy food.

It would depend on what type of spicy food you are speaking of. Generally speaking, if you tolerated it before pregnancy, chances are you can tolerate it during pregnancy. As long as it it not one of the foods considered dangerous i.e. raw meat, fish containing mercury, etc I don't see why you can't. Word of warning though - START SLOW.

Everyone is different and there aren't any rules for food consumption while pregnant. Eat a little and if your body and your little one inside doesn't object ...enjoy! Always check with your doctor for the best advice for you and your pregnancy. Take Care!

yes you can as long as it doesn't give you heartburn or indigestion. There are some people who don't crave anything other than spicy foods, if you crave it get it.
