anywhere is a good idea even like discount jewlry stores have cute things not necessarly made for a party but i love puting together party ideas without specifically "party" stuff

People don't really care so much about the quality of invitation cards, just that they're invited and can celebrate with you.
As to party decorations, I don't know if you have Party City or a store like that in your area, but they have tons of party ideas. Look in your yellow pages.
I have seen all kinds of party lights there, jalapenos, cactuses, palm trees, etc, they look really FUN !

An 18th birthday party usually means your parents will get out all your old baby photos and blow them up.lol
Silver balloons silver and gold 18th confetti on tables nothing too over board though. You can usually pick things up in card shops or craft shops like hobby craft.

I bought great invites from Vistaprint. You make postcard sized invites using their templates or put your own photo on there.
They were very reasonably priced, and fast delivery.
Its a website - vistaprint.com (I think!)
I made all my wedding invites and thank you cards here

Emm it depends what shops you guys have over there! i must confess i haven't really a clue but my older sis got all her stuff of of the NEXT clothes and furniture site! it all looked pretty funky!
