put simply, alcohol, isn't the problem, it's the carbohydrates and sugars in the alcohol that's the problem... i think that it would raise blood sugar levels, not lower them, and the best thing for high blood pressume is vitamin C and E daily forever! it helps clear your ateries out and makes them STRONG!...
so NO alcohol for diabetics (even though, heaps do, but it is better for you if you don't!) also don't mix alcohol with non-sugar diet drinks, it makes you get drunk VERY quickly!

Alcoholic beverages have different effects on the blood sugar. It depends on how much sugar is in the drink. A drink like Diet Coke with some sort of liquor might drop the blood sugar. Wine or sweet drinks like daiquiris and margheritas will raise the blood sugar. Drunkenness will make it more difficult for the diabetic person to feel the symptoms of high or low blood sugar. And if they pass out, people around them might assume it's because they are drunk, when really, they are in a coma due to blood sugar being way too high or too low. Diabetics should be extra careful if they drink. They should always check their blood sugar frequently and never drink alone. They should always have someone around who knows they are diabetic and knows what to do if something goes wrong.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Very moderate use of alcohol is just fine for people with diabetes.
Alcohol will lower your blood sugar so always drink with a meal or snack.
Just watch out for those mixers that are filled with sugar.

About the diabetes - listen to the people who are telling you that it lowers your blood sugar. My mother has diabetes and has gone to classes to learn how to treat it, and that's where she learned about the weird alcohol-blood sugar effect. Logically,it would seem that alcohol would raise blood sugar levels since it usually contains sugar or is basically pure carbs.
Diabetice should watch alcohol intake and should always eat when they drink. If not, you could end up in a diabetic coma if your blood sugar level drops far enough.

Alcohol is not good for either a diabetic or a person with high blood pressure. Alcohol tends to elevate rather than lower blood glucose (sugar). Alcohol confounds antihypertensive medications and elevates blood pressure. Alcohol increases the risk of cardiovascular disease (think heart attack and stroke). The only qualifying comment is that 'low' daily intake of certain types of alcohol may shift the HDL to a more protective form. In this event a controlled amount of alcohol may reduce heart disease. Nonetheless no medical authority or organization recommends the use of alcohol in this manner and part of the reason is that it is rare for an individual to exercise that degree of control. In short alcohol is not good for much of anything and if you are using it for anxiety, pain, or sleep/rest there are more effective prescription medications which are less expensive and do not have calories.

Alcohol (liquor) is not beneficial for a diabetic. No, it does not lower the blood sugar level, in fact it probably elevates it substantially because most alcoholic beverages come with or are mixed with sweetened mixers. What would even make you think that it would be beneficial for a diabetic? Wishful thinking?
Very mild alcohol consumption has demonstrated some benefits for cardiovascular conditions, including blood pressure. However, this is only with low intake levels so don't go out and get drunk "for your health".

No alcohol isn't good, and drinking without eating 1st casuse your blood surgar to drop. Because you liver is only working on getting the toxin out and will not release glucose into the blood even if it registers that blood sugar is dropping. What might rasise your blood sugar is what you drink with alcohol.
