A long time, thats why people with HIV arent encouraged to give blood!! Think, when people give blood, it is refrigerated for weeks before giving it to someone, and if it was HIV infected, that person would most likley get HIV.

I believe it could survive the entire time. HIV only dies when it is exposed to oxygen and certain chemicals. If the blood was donated, then it can be assumed that it has never been exposed to oxygen or chemicals.
