I was just recently diagnosed with Chlamydia, however my partner was tested and he doesn't have it. The last partner was over 5 years ago. I was also diagnosed with Polysystic ovaries, could the Chlamydia have caused the PSOS if it went untreated for a long time?

No. Polycystic ovaries is a metabolic condition that isn't related to chlamydia. No one knows exactly what causes polycystic ovaries, but there's probably a genetic component involved.

Untreated chlamydia can cause problems around the ovaries and fallopian tubes - pelvic inflammatory disease - but not polycystic disease, which is a different problem.

PS: I don't know why someone's pushed the "bad question" button - it's actually a very sensible one.

ummm, Yeah! this is going to reason you a situation in case you don't get clinical interest as we communicate. women human beings often do no longer understand that they have got chlamydia as a results of fact they don't have a "drip" like adult males, that's a clearer indication. yet this could reason important problems. PID happens in as much as 40 % of ladies human beings with untreated chlamydia. PID could reason everlasting harm to the fallopian tubes, uterus, and surrounding tissues. the wear and tear can carry approximately persistent pelvic soreness, infertility, and doubtlessly deadly ectopic being pregnant (being pregnant outdoors the uterus). women human beings contaminated with chlamydia are as much as 5 cases plenty extra probably to develop into contaminated with HIV, if uncovered. women human beings who're sexually energetic could be examined each year for Chlamydia. Get your self to a gynecologist. please!

It has nothing to do with the PSOS. If chlamydia is untreated in a woman it can lead to a very serious condition called Pelvic Inflamatory Disease. PID can lead to infertility. It is a very serious condition. Please see a doctor to find out if you have PID.
