banana contains pottassium. potassium causes irregular heartbeat. But how much banana or raisin will someone consume in a day? Dont worry, its takes more than 5kg of banana to cause someone to have irregular heartbeat. Guess by then we would be having diarrheo instead. Unless if someone in end stage cardiac illness she/he should really monitor dietary intake.

Hyperkalaemia (too much potassium) can cause an irregular heartbeat as already mentioned but it should also be said that if you have (hypokalaemia) low potassium, this can also cause an irregular beat. In this case bananas/raisins could help as you would be increasing your dietary intake of potassium. However, if you have very low potassium, it is unlikely that dietary potassium would resolve it, you may need Iv potassium or supplements.
