IF your dad had a stroke and not a heart attack it might be that he has suffered from either side of his body being paralyzed or he could have lose of speech. you really need to talk to your mom to see how he is . I've had 3 stokes and alto of TIA'S my first one was in 1995 and my last one was in 2003. I WAS very luck that God saved me . I only short term memory loss and a little weakness on my right side. You might try to consider your dad and mom right now . I 'AM sure your mom needs you.

Were talking about two different things here.

A heart attack is a blockage of one or more of the bloodvessels around the heart.

A stroke is a blockage of one or more of the bloodvessels in the brain. The latter is usually a lot more damaging. My mother died from one of those.

In both cases the first thing to be addressed is the diet, to get cholesterol levels and blood pressure down.

A glass of wine per day - good. More than that - bad
Cigarettes - absolutely bad, bad, bad!

First defense: Excersize. Just regular walks (sell the TV)
Niacin and low dose aspirin (under medical supervision)
Diet: Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. No saturated fat. Less meat (lean only) - more fish (no "seafood") chicken (no skin) and TURKEY (no skin.) Little carbs, like cake (NO FROSTING) and other sweets.

If he pays attention to what the doctors tell him, he should be ok and may outlive you.

I assume he has family here - if so, you have to put them in charge of watching your dad.

He's at risk for more damage or another stroke any where from in the next second to the next 10 decades.
My husband had 1 massive stroke and 6 minor ones in the 6 years since he's had his heart attack. No one can predict any such thing.
He must quit drinking and smoking.

i'd enable them. i'd sense free they were fascinated in study. i'd look ahead to chatting about the adjustments in scripture and interpretation. i think of their beliefs are extraordinary. yet no longer a one human beings is perfect. we've all taken a misstep earlier. maximum folk at the same time as advised no longer to bypass down a particular route will turn and run precise down it out of sheer rebellion. So i hit upon it perfect to be supportive. and then %. up the products after at the same time as someone realizes the gravity of their mistakes.
