I know that it is used in some Indian (and even more rarely in European) cooking, but as a practicing chemist, let me warn you. Camphor is a pretty toxic substance. I know it's used in cooking, but then again, not everything you eat is good for you. It's also used in some medicines, but in 1980 the FDA pretty much banned it in the U.S. That means that the only place you'll likely find it is in Indian or Asian stores, and there are many places like that on the web. Again, please be very careful in using it, because the difference in concentration between benign and toxic is pretty minimal.
