Are you sure you want to increase your HR? An increased heart rate is an indication of cardiac disease, stress, high blood pressure and several diseases. A decreased heart rate, however, can be an indication of cardiac health. This is why it is common for runners and swimmers to have resting heart rates in the 40's and 50's. Maybe if you clarify what you're trying to achieve, more people will be able to help you with your question.

Kathy D why would you want to increase your resting heart rate? Your resting heart rate should be 50 to 90 and elevating the resting heart rate above 90 is associated with premature (younger than 65 for a woman) cardiovascular disease (think heart attack and stroke). If you require more specific information please let me know.
