a n upper gi series starts by first ur doctor will order mixture to clean both upper an lower bowel area. then send u back to xray an they will have u stand on an xray table, an u will be ask to drink a 12 ounce liquid that will have a strawberry or vanille taste while slowely drinking it the technician will slowely turn the table ur on, an take xrays in different positions. it doesnt hurt at all. i hope this will help. god bless, i hope everything is ok.
