The regiman prscribed by Dr. Ornish will in all likelyhood stop the angina attacks in short order. Most people due not have the dicipline and will power necessary to make such dynamic lifestyle changes. However, if you can adopt the no cholesterol, very low fat vegetarian diet, exercise dailey and constroll the stress in your life, you will quite likely achieve the disired results. I have a great deal of knowledge regarding this subject and would be glad to help you. Email me if you would like assistance. Best of luck to you!

Reverse Angina

Surgery is unlikely to cure Angina, unless you have a specific clot. Nitro might save your life, so please keep it with you until you find a way to stop the episodes - I know it gives a headache, etc, but at least you will be alive to suffer that. Has your doctor given you anything in the way of guidelines for lifestyle changes that will help? He/she is your first line of defense. Diet, exercise, etc are YOUR choice. Please refer to the American Heart Association web site (link below) for more specific advice. We advocate moderation, and to make changes slowly. If you find the address (in the phone book) for your local office, they can send you a lot of useful brochures and diet advice. The Ornish diet can help some people, but everyone is different and you need to find things that work for YOU. Start with your doctor and go from there.

Angina (angina pectoris is the complete name) is not a disease by itself but a symptom of a heart problem, and this happens when insufficient oxygen goes to the heart. Nitroglycerin is usually the drug of choice for this. This condition affects many people....and I think whether or not it is reversible, depends on the extent of the damage or the severity of the patient's cardiac condition. Take your husband to a doctor as soon as possible.

There are many factors which causes Angina. Is yours Cholestrol level is elevated, then use Cholestrol reducing regime. If it is in yours family, then you definitly needs medication/Angioplastry/CABG. Are you Diabetic/Hypetensive, still you require a control regime under medical supervision.
However 2 tablespoonful of Apple Vinegar taken before breakfast help in reduction of Angina , and may clear the arteries. Vitamen E, fish oil, garlic also helps.

Ornish diet is a very strict eating plan. It is actually a vegetarian diet. It places very strict limitations on food. Meat and fish are not allowed. When in fact the AHA recommends eating fish two to three times a week because of its omega-3 content. I think you should consult your physician first before altering your diet plan.
