hii morecards, well.however as one of the most notorius agent, cigarette smoking may be usefull in some conditions. it contains nicotine wch is short duration cognition enhancer or u can say increases brain activity, n stress reliever, by means of increase in acetyl choline n dopamine concentrationby realeasing these subsatnces( these r neurotransmitters ) n responsible fr its addiction,..........another useful action is its somwat preventory action in alzhiemers disease.( less smoker suffer as comapred to normal populations)....another one disease where less smokers suffer is ulcerative colitis ( a disease of large intestine)....however most of things r based on stastics....well....another helpful point may be thre if u leave the cigerette smoking..yr lungs ll be more resistant to enviornment polutions,.....but all these usefull examples r mirage n cigarette smoking even one per day shd be condemned....above r not excuses to hav this fatal addication ...as wat u loses is 1000 times then wat u gain.....so...quit it n be healthy.....bye

If the Government banned cigarettes the NHS would not be able to discriminate against smokers. It is still going to cost NHS a lot of money to treat people who started smoking 30 40 or 50 years ago when the government used to condone smoking. If you have a serious smoking related illness it wouldn't just go away if you stopped smoking tomorrow it would still require treatment. In some cases for the rest of your life.

For me it suppresses my appetite and when I'm down in the dumps, I turn to smoking also. More than that, it gives my hands something to do. I am known to sit around with a smoke between my fingers and it remain unlit. Why? Again, gives my hands something to do, since I suck at knitting / crocheting or anything else in regards to arts and crafts. And I work a highly stressful job, and trying to raise a family single-handedly, so if it weren't for smoking I'd probably have lost my mind years ago.

well u can only get this answer from a smoker like myself..
I like smoking..it makes the world soo much better..so the benefits are..(that they don't tell u on t.v.)

-calms the nerves
-creates a euphoria--or a sense of happiness and well being
-can prevent some diseases from happenning to you(besides lung cancer and what not)
but the cons are way more than the pros..but it is way too hard to quit and I cough every night and I haven't even smoked for a year..
Choose wisely!!

You will get to death sooner- provided that is a goal of yours.

There are no benefits- seriously.

When I was a smoker it was a stress reliever and kind of like a bandaide for a bad day. It also was good for getting in some extra breaks when I was in the Army...but it smells, you feel terrible in your chest, and girls tend not to like it too much...so I quit.

There are no benefits. If smoking a cigarette relieves stress for some, then they are in for a rude awakening when their health deteriorates in their future.

Nicotine depletes the body of it's nutrients, makes people look old and of course, causes cancer just to name a few problems.

There is nothing positive about smoking at all. No benefits to you, only the tobacco companies pockets. Stress reliever? Try taking a walk! You will be much healthier in the long run!

If you want to die but you don't want to commit suicide you can just smoke and kill yourself slowly. When I see someone smoking my all time favorite phrase is, "don't smoke your life away"
