I just don't understand it!

A troll is someone who goes on forums just to stir and cause trouble.
An example. "Any one know where I can get a baby calf to butcher?" If someone was posted that on vegetarian and vegan board what do you think would happen? There would be a lot of people jumping up and down like a bunch of Jack Russel's on crack. Which is just what the person wants, they don't want an answer they just want to watch people jump up and down.
I've seen boards shut down because of trolls. One reopened as 100% moderated just to end the trolls.
So don't feed the trolls (answer their questions) and hopefully they will go away.
Since this is the vegetarian and vegan board sorry for the example, but it was the best way to get my point across.

I guess Lord Troll needs to look up the definition of racist as well as vegan.
don't bother looking it up in medical journals, they appear to be full of crap from what we see here.
flu_flu: Perhaps you could look at the history of someone who is called a troll. You would realise that any real discription woud not get past the censors so the word Troll is as good a substitute as any.

lol it's a nickname for the people that come on here that ask really silly questions and answer questions stupidly too and the ones that just annoy people in general by abusing the yahoo answers system!

There are a few people (I won't name names, because one of them in particular is keen on reporting so-called 'abuse') who like to foment trouble and annoyance among the other users. They deliberately wind up, harrass and ask inflammatory questions. We should ignore them and eventually they'll go away, but it's easier to say than do.

I don't know, except my husband and I call ME a Troll, because I'd rather be inside with very little lights on...like a troll living in a cave!
