I can see them at the back of my throat sometimes. They smell really, any idea what they could be? Does this happen to anyone else?

I just answered this question a couple weeks ago... :)

The thing that comes out of your throat is called a tonsilolith. They're nasty little things that come out of your tonsils. Tonsils are helpful, despite what some may tell you. They act as a filter, and tonsiloliths, also called "tonsil stones," are the junk all packed together. They're normal.

I used to get these--I THINK that they are bits of infection that the adnoids ? catch! It sounds crazy, but that's why the doctor wouldn't remove my adnoids when I was a kid and it was the rage to strip them out!

P.S., since I've been taking zinc for a number of years along with my regular vits and mins, they've never occured since! Nor have I had the usual sore throats!

I get them too!!!! I have no idea either. To me, they seem like food build-up, that turns into a clump of bacteria. You can tell by the smell of them. Although, I'm not sure if it's o.k. or not. I hope we get some answers. I'm glad to know that other people get them to.

It sounds like phlegm. If it smells bad you may have a bacteria. Get it checked.
