I personally think second hand smoke is damaging. I bowl with a woman who never smoked, but she was told a few years back that she had the lungs of a pack a day smoker. That was from second hand smoke exposure at the bowling alley. She had to give up bowling until recently with the improvements in indoor smoking laws.

I personally do not like the way smoke smells, but I tolerate it when I am with my friends. Second hand smoking is very bad. It can cause lung cancer in some cases.

Let me put it to you this way. I knew a man who died from emphysema and never smoked a day in his life....but his wife did. I often see a lot of children at the hospital who have lung problems because they live in a home where one or both of the parents smoke.

It's difficult to breathe when someone smokes near me. Even when we are outside. Inhaling that smoke can't be good for you.

Worse for the non smoker. You're breathing in all of the toxins the smoker is exhaling and it ups your risk of many cancers including lung, throat, mouth, and even cervical cancer.
