No jokes.... but stuck something, normally the cough is the throat drying out, so sucking a sweetie or mint will keep the throat moist, if it is an irritation that is making you cough then it is because "stuff" from other areas (so as not to be to gross) is dripping on to the bit that makes you cough, again sucking is the best thing as the cough mix you buy suppresses the reaction to cough making the germ travel down into your chest making it more likely you will need doctors treatment due to infection, If it is driving you mad at night, night nurse night time cough(purple and green box, over the counter only) is good but make sure you tell the chemist if you are taking anything else. Drink lots regular, it should go soon !

If cough medicines do not work , see a doctor.

If you haven't tried cough medicines, try them. Try a spoonful of honey. Try gargling with salt water. Try hot tea.

Go to the store and get a cough suppresant with DM in it. Ask the pharmacist. Cough syrups don't run that much money and if you don't stop that it can develope into something as that almonst happened with me.

I find chamomile tea with lemon and honey helpful in soothing a cough, but a cough that goes on and on really should be evaluated by a doctor.

Ricola herbal lozenges from the chemist are very good for a tickly cough and they taste like a mild mint. Cut out as much dairy produce as you can as it can make your cough more phlemmy!
