Vegetarians do not eat the flesh of any animals, and fish are animals, so vegetarians do not eat fish. People who abstain from all meat except fish are pescatarian.
That said, there are many degrees of vegetarianism. Some eat eggs and/or milk. Others abstain from all animal products in their diet (no meat, milk, eggs, honey) as well as their lifestyle (no leather, wool, silk, etc).
Vegetarians also tend to avoid animal products such as gelatin, rennet, meat-based broths, etc.

There are several classifications of vegetarian.
In the most traditional sense, "Vegetarian" means vegan - but this definition is dated.
Now adays, there are the following:
Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian - eats milk & eggs
Pesco Vegetarian - eats fish/seafood
Pollo Vegetarian - eats chicken
And combinations (I am a Pesco-Lacto-Ovo Veg).
I don't eat meat for ethical reasons - I only eat what I can kill. I've fished my whole life with my grandpa, so I have no qualms about eating it.
I think more people would be veg if they had to look that cute cow in the eyes, take its life, and then hack it up.
Remember: vegans can't eat milk or eggs - so no breads, cheese, ice cream or CHOCOLATE!!!!

Seafood=meat=dead carcass of an animal that once was full of life. Vegetarians do not eat carcasses even if it came from an aquatic environment. Anyway, you must follow your own heart and conscience in deciding what to eat. One bit of advice. I used to be a somewhat picky meat eater and try to decide which meat is ok to eat and which is not. Once I went vegetarian and abstained from all meat, I actually found freedom in my choice and no longer need to rationalize my eating certain types of foods. Sometimes it is just easier and wiser to give it all up.

There are different classifications of vegetarianism. Many believe in order to be a vegetarian you cannot eat meat, or animal products, but the plain and simple fact is there are varieties. Those who eat seafood are classified as following pescetarianism.

the right stuff to eat is what makes you and your body work and feel good.
Forget about labels like vegetarian, vegan, carnivore, etc.
However, you might be getting confused between vegans (who eat no animal products at all) and vegetarians. There are varying degrees of vegetarinanism. I know many vegetarians that eat fish and eggs, and others that don't consume any animal products except milk.
don't let others impose their definitions on you; create your own.

Fish are animals and vegetarians do not eat animals. There are alot of misconceptions about vegetarians floating around including people who eat fish and then turn around and call themselves vegetarians...which they are not.

I'm a vegetarian. And well you can be a vegetarian by eating fish and seafood because it doesn't come from an animal it's just an animal. But I'm a strict vegetarian so I don't eat seafood or fish.

No. Vegatarians do not eat any animals. They will eat eggs and dairy products, but not animals. Fish are animals. They live. Check out: www.ppk.com for recipes, forums and info.
