Take the test, know for sure. At least then if you do have it, you know what you are facing and can fight the disease. Sitting there worrying about it solves nothing.

As already stated by others... "Knowledge is Power." Speaking from experience, the best thing you can do is surround yourself with friends and loved ones. When I went to get tested, I confided in my best friend because I knew I couldn't handle it on my own. She was with me every step of the way, even the day I got the dreaded call. It is important to know that you can live with HIV/AIDS in a relatively normal fashion. If you don't have a friend or loved one to confide in, see if there is a local HIV/AIDS hotline that might have counseling services. If you find you are positive; have a good long cry (you won't be able to stop it) and then take your next step; find a support group.

You do not (and should not) try to go this road on your own. There are support mechanisms available in most areas to help you grieve, cope, and adapt. It is not an easy journey, but don't give up hope. I have battled back from hospitalization with pneumonia and a T-cell count of 6 (healthy adults are between 1000 - 1200). Choose life, know your status, take control.

It is scary but get tested it will free your mind and you will feel relieved. You do not have to wait 2 weeks anymore like you used to, most places get the results the same day or the next. HIV is not a death sentence anymore, you can live a very long a satisfying like with it. Also,God forbid you are positive it is something you need to know to protect others from getting it. Good luck.

if u are waiting for the results just take a breath and don't panic till the results are in. if u haven't taken the test yet then please go and do it. being afraid of what u might learn isn't any reason not to take the test. if u don't know for sure then u are risking ever one u let get close to u . if u do know then u can be safe with yourself and everyone else. even if u are positive its not the death sentence u might think. u will learn what u have to do to keep yourself healthy and any drugs u can take to keep the virus in check. there are so many ways to lose your life and aids doesn't have to be one of them. its just like anything else, u have to know so u can handle whatever comes at u. take the test no matter how scary it is, it doesn't have to be the end. u are worth protecting yourself. good luck

Unfortunately, there really isn't anything anyone can do for you in regards to this, especially over the internet. If you have a Planned Parenthood in your area, you can give them a call and set up an HIV test. It's a tough situation and very stressful, but if you are in fact infected, you definitely don't want to pass it on to someone you care about. Planned Parenthood is a fabulous organization...they are very professional and discrete.

Help you with what? Go take the test. Would you rather GUESS or KNOW? Knowing provides us the opportunity to take the next required steps. Guessing provides stress and confusion of the next steps. Also keep in mind, a person who knowingly has HIV and engages in sexual activity without disclosing this info to their partner is subject to a felony. This leads to jail.

Now, be mature and go take the test.

It is better to know you have it so you can get on a treatment program and live a relatively normal life. If you don't get tested and you are positive it maybe to late by the time you show systems. Also you could past it on to some else.
Please if you think you were exposed to the virus get tested. It's better to know then worry to death not knowing and always wondering.

i would suggest you know your status, not only for yourself but for others as well, there are many people in the world who have stds and dont know it cause they feel it would never happen to them, i am assuming you are scared cause you feel you had sex with someone who had or suspected had the virus.

when you find out your test results and you are clean remember this,,, condoms condoms condoms.

when you find out your test results and you are infected dont think of it as the end of the world get in a support group and take care of yourself.

Erm. Not really. Go and have the test. Not knowing you have HIV doesn't mean it will go away. Go and see what you are dealing with.

knowledge is power.
your probably suspect you have the disease.
it's better to face it and live your life with the truth.
the truth will set you free.
you can know the best way to take care of yourself and conduct your life.
the facts are whether you are positive or not.
knowing it does not change the fact.
only gives you more power over it.
