I can take the "fake meat" to a gathering, it makes me appear more "socially acceptable". :>)))

I think you'll find its spelt vegetarian,

And its the food processors that make it this way, not the veggies.

I couldn't care less if it looks like a meat sausage, just so long as it doesn't have a dead cow in it I don't care what shape it is.

So far you've proved you can't spell or read. I guess the "fish is brain food" thing is a myth, eh ?

edit::
"and the processors must be vegitarian" - what rubbish, are you telling me that the people who develop the vegetarian processed food have to be vegetarian ??? Nonsense.

Unless I'm mis-interpreting your relentless ability to misspell as you meaning vegetarian but a "vegitarians " is actually something else, is it ?

It's simple...if you don't like the vegetarian sausage...don't eat it!
I am a vegetarian and soy based protein artifical meat replaces the protein my body doesn't get otherwise. And I would rather it look like a piece of meat than goodness knows what. At least I can identify what I am eating as something familiar!
I haven't eaten any meat for 5 years and because it has been so long....it tastes like real meat...burgers etc to me! *smiles*
But I do LOVE the smell of BBQ! I saw a dead body once and for some reason the smell reminded me of chicken about to go bad and everysince then I just cant eat meat.
I think it is fabulous that there is a substitute for those of us who do not eat meat!
And also...you should always ask what it is before you sample anything....my daughter once accidently ate calamari rings because she thought they were onion rings at a buffet....lol

Sorry that you got tricked into eating that, but why does is matter?
I am a vegetarian. I stopped eating meat, not because I dislike the look or taste of it, but because I don't like eating animals. But I still like the taste of a burger. I mean, who wouldn't? So I for one appreciate manufacturers that make meatless burgers. The same principle can go for diet soda-not everyone chooses to drink diet, most people think it tastes disgusting, but they still make it so that the people who do want it are pleased. It's all about filling people's needs. I have a need for fake sausage, you don't.

i think of you will locate its spelt vegetarian, And its the nutrition processors that make it this style, no longer the vegetables. i could no longer care much less if interestingly like a meat sausage, only see you later because it would not have a dull cow in it i do no longer care what shape it particularly is. so a tactics you have proved you won't have the ability to spell or examine. i think the "fish is strategies nutrition" element is a delusion, eh ? edit:: "and the processors would desire to be vegitarian" - what rubbish, are you telling me that the persons who enhance the vegetarian processed nutrition would desire to be vegetarian ??? Nonsense. till i'm mis-analyzing your relentless skill to misspell as you meaning vegetarian yet a "vegitarians " is actual some thing else, is it ?

I've often wondered that. You become a vegetarian because of a distaste for meat, for one reason or another, but then you form your tofu curds to look like bacon and hot dogs.

I've never been a vegetarian just because it's really NOT "natural" for human beings (of course, neither is eating hormone and antibiotic-injected cow flesh from high-density feed lots), but I don't see any reason to call them "wackos." And why should you really care if you got "tricked" into eating some fake sausage?

Some people eat those veggie things that look like meat because they want to cut down on their meat consumption for health reasons, but don't want to give up the taste of meat. So those things give them the option of still having the taste they like, but not the actual meat itself.

this is my opinion...

there are lots of manufacturers that prepare vegetarians food that looks like meat and whatsoever..tastes like them etc..

but it is undeniable that humans has the instinct and desire towards meat..anyone can deny it , especially being a vegetarian , u are pushing away the temptations of meat, but remmber that many people 'especially those whos just started being vegtrian' needs the help to stop their craving for meat..therefore, they created the solution into making vegies like soy beans into meat tasted food..it is not a matter of tricking you..but its juat we have to understanding the certain craving sof humans that go unchanged even as a vegetarian...

such transformation of veggies into meat look alike helps them.

i hope this answer helps..

They don't but the processors do. But that's not the question you should be asking.

What you should have asked is “Are the vegetarian and vegans that eat food that look like meat saying at least socially it’s ok to eat meat?” Think about it if it looks like meat are they not endorsing or at least encouraging that very behavior that they say you should stay away from?

Just something to think about.

some vegetarians go veggie cause they dont want to hurt or bring pain to animals. they belive no one should have to die for your plesher. not all vegetarians dont like the taste it brings and they figure, why make animals suffer when there are so many meat substitutes?
