I will have toppings such as Fritos, cheese, onions, and sour cream, but I don't know what else to serve if anything.

Green Salad - to your liking

And, of course corn bread w/ honey butter! Here's a great recipe:

Cornbread ~ 8 servings

I almost always double this recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
4 eggs
¾ cup green chilis, diced
½ cup canned creamed corn
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup flour
1 cup organic (grainy) cornmeal
2 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Directions
1.Preheat oven @ 375 degrees
2.Cream butter and sugar together.
3.Add on egg at a time, mix well.
4.Add chilies, creamed corn, and cheese, mix well.
5.Add sifted ingredients, mix well.
6.Pour into prepared butter baking dish, cornbread pans or muffing tins (regular or mini).
7.Bake 1 hour.
8.Serve w/ honey butter.
9.Enjoy!

Some people serve red beans as a side with chili. Unless your chili already has beans in it. A salad would go nicely, and some cornbread or tortillas.

Cornbread. Nothing else goes with chili like cornbread! Except a big glass of milk.

just put out some carrot/celery sticks and ranch dressing for a dip. And don't forget the saltines. Chili is a full meal in and of itself. Don't worry about it too much or you'll foget to enjoy the occaision yourself.

lots of people serve cornbread/cornbread sticks. of course saltines are good too. but a true *side would be cornbread. I don't think veggies really 'go with' chili. good luck!
