As others have said, a "abnormal EKG" is too generic to mean anything. Find out in what way it was abnormal. The heart may be beating in a normal rhythm, but going too fast or too slow. The hear t may be beating at a normal speed, but with an abnormal rhythm (called an 'arrythmia'). Some arrythmia are annoying but totally benign, some are annoying and mostly benign, a few a extremely dangerous, placing you at risk of sudden death (but your doctor would have already taken action if you had one of that type).

There are many things that can be done to resolve an abnormal EKG, depending entirely upon the actual underlying cause. No need for panic. Ask your doctor what's going on, and what he or shet suggests as a course of treatment. Believe me -- if it was anything really serious, he or she wouldn't keep you in the dark about it.

I would need to see the ECG. Some read as abnormal are not too significant.
