well there alot of reasons for a person to have an abnormal ekg reading. for starters.. and ekg is the xray of sound that is produce by the heart.... people with abnormal ekg usually suffer from heart problems... all of this has to do with the persons diet and exercise.... if the person doesnt' take care of him or herself.. then there at high risk of having heart problems...good luck

There are a number of measurements done on an EKG to determine if it is abnormal. The QRS Wave (which is the proper name) can be wide for a variety of reasons for eg some medications cxan widen it, illicit drugs, potassium levels and some cardiac arrhythymias can cause this problem. Best advice seek out medical attention and find out why your ECG is abnormal
