You're aren't going to get gential herpes from kissing anyone's mouth. You also won't get gential herpes from kissing someone with a cold sore. You can only contract herpes thru direct contact. You can get genital from oral/genital contact however.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?
But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

I got identified with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about three years back, whilst I was still in college and had a mindless one-night stand. I understand a lot of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/5KePp everything changed.
Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the hsv from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This system provided me the chance to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

J has the correct answer. But it is a good thing you asked as you can see....there are a lot of people with the wrong information regarding the transmission of STDs.
