It depends on your calorie intake. If you eat too many calories then you won't lose weight. If you don't exercise at least an hour a day, you probably won't lose weight either. It's a combination of caloric intake and exercise.

Since I have become a vegetarian I have lost almost 20 lbs. It has been 5 months. So I guess you could say so but you also need to go for a walk at least once a day. Also drink half your body weight in ounces of water. (So if you weigh 150 lbs drink 75 ounces of water daily and as you lose weight drink less water [according to what you begin to weigh]).The water should be pure but if you can't afford it then regular water should suffice.

Animal protien is an essential part of the human diet. Remember that we are OMNIVORES. Yes you will lose weight but be prepared for it to be in the form of muscle mass as well as fat. No matter how much exercise you do, there is no substitute for a complete and balanced diet.

No. Not necessarily. Entirely depends on what you eat. If you load up on cheese, eggs, bread etc, you could gain weight. Eating lean meat can be part of a healthy diet.

Well first off you should NOT become a vegetarian if it's just to lose weight . You become one because you really care about animals!!!
-Second you could actually GAIN weight on a vegetarian. Because you eat so much eggs, dairy, bread.

You probably would as long as you did not eat a lot of starchy foods, like potatoes, rice, corn.
Eat a lot of leafy green vegetables.
Eat a lot of broccoli, squash, green beans, carrots. (All good brain food).
Some lentils (red beans, pinto beans, etc) can serve as your protein to replace meat.
Good luck and I know you will lose weight.
