I was told I have sleep apena and need a c-pap and a bi-pap machine. I tried looking up them and not finding much on bi-pap machine. If someone could please help me. Thank you!!!

Ok Is the bi-pap and c-pap machine used at night? I dont really understand what the bi-pap is.I will get them both on Tuesday.

Cpap is continuous positive airway pressure, which means it keeps your airway open so you wont keep waking up alot at night. Bipap has 2 levels of pressure, where cpap only has one. It has a higher pressure when you inhale, and a lower one when you exhale. hope i helped!

Brian answer is correct, But I woutld like to point ou that the bi-pap also can give you more air pressure then the c-pap. I have had both . I used a bi-pap for about a year before they came out with a c-pap that could give the amount of air pressure i needed. I like the c-pap better because i has less buttons things that you can hit by mistake. Don't be afraid of them I have sleep apnea and the machines are wonderful you will sleep so much better and feel like a new person. I personally like the full mask.

i agree with the answer above--you might check with a home health company----these pressures can be adjusted to patient comfort. also try to use nasal prongs rather than the full face mask. you will find this to be more comfortable.
