the normal range for blood glucose decreased the last years, so now 100 is considered the upper limit of normal.
your mom should have another glycemia tested (without sugar restriction before the test) and if that's more than 125 mg/dl then she can be diagnosed as having diabetes (most probably type 2)
the blood pressure is too high, especially the diastolic, you should measure it again to confirm the diagnosis. (2 measures after 5 minutes of resting).
if she has diabetes, she should start medical nutrition therapy, her doctor will decide whether she needs or not antidiabetic drugs (depends on A1C), probably she won't need drugs now.
but if the blood pressure is still high I would suggest starting a treatment. the drug must be chosen by her doctor ofcourse.

Her fasting blood sugar SHOULD be under 120 (at the most).
I'm a type 1 for 21 years & I've seen many changes & advances in the diabetic world. How is her weight? Other symptoms of diabetes are thirst, blured vision freguent uniration. But ...
get her to a dr. I'm not one but if I had to guess I'd say type 2.
My mom was having blood sugar problems & diagonesed as type 2 & put on pills. She got her diet in such good control she was taken off the meds. She followes a diabetic diet (counts carbs) A dr. visit will give peace of mind. Also ... here's a fact most diabetics are diagonesed in the winter.

Her fasting blood sugar is a little high. Most physicians recommend 80-120 as a normal fasting blood sugar range. She needs to have further testing so the possibility of diabetes can either be ruled out or diagnosed. Her B/P is a little high also. 120/80 is considered ideal, although most docs like to see it lower than that. She needs to see her family doctor to have both of these tested further. Many times diabetes can cause high blood pressure.

You didn't write about the medications. If these values are without medications then your mother can improve her blood profiles simply. The FBS is a bit high. She need some regular exercises and yoga. She need to walk for half an hour in the morning or evening. Please stick to more vegetarian diet, with more fiberous food. Wheat is very good, not the atta. Diastolic blood pressure should be lowered to 90 level. Please take more leafy vegetables. Murigna olifera is good to reduce BP. If she switch to some ayurvedic herbal combinations, she can surely improve her health without any sideeffects.

I too had the same problem...but my BP was higher and my fasting was higher. my lifestyle and eating habits and weight as well as genetics also don't help. I too am 40. I am taking care of all this with metformin ER (pill) for type2 twice a day. lisinopril w/diretic(sp) for BP. by diet changes alone (with medication) I test at @ 110 blood sugar and BP 128/77. I will tell no lies, I used to eat big, big meals. now much smaller and less carbs.
my weight is a factor. I 10 yrs ago was on BP medicine but lost about 40 lbs and didn't need it any more. now my weight is back up(bad back) i'm back on again. carrying too much weight and little exercise can effect both. oh yeah...stress too!!

One hour after eating her blood sugar should be 150 or below. Two hours after her blood sugar should be 120 or below. Age doesn't matter. Sounds like hers is slightly high. And her blood pressure is slightly high. A good blood pressure is 120/80. You should encourage her to check with her family doctor for her blood pressure and a diabetic doctor for her blood sugar condition.

The goal for fasting glucose is certainly less than 136 mg/dL and the goal for blood pressure is again most definitely less than 140/098 so it sounds as if your mother requires medical attention and if these values are consistent and reproducible then she likely has diabetes and or hypertension and will require treatment although sometimes nonpharmacologic intervention (diet, exercise, and weight loss) works without the need for medications. Please let me know the outcome of her evaluation and treatment. Thank you.

120 is the highest "normal" BS for a fasting test. 140/98 is a bit high.. ideally, at the office I work in we like the BP to be about 130/80... She needs to see her doc and be evaluated for diabetes, as well as high BP.
