there's nothing magical that changes the day you turn 18.

it's just generally said that the younger you are, the less likely you are to be emotionally mature enough for sex.

but some people coudl be perfectly ready to have sex at 16 or 17, while others probably aren't ready until they're much older than 18..

it all depends on the person

it's not unsafe unless having unprotected sex. if the girl is 16 on the other hand, if you both break up, she could call rape and you would go to jail if found guilty because she was a "child". i say... wait until you're absolutely %100 sure that having sex is something YOU want to do... don't do it for anybody else because you could regret it later on.

Because she's still a minor! Even the age of consent is 16, it may be a little different now that there's all these new internet laws coming out.

girls have a higher risk of developing cervical cancer at some point in life, but not sure about any risk for guys. probably also because of emotional maturity. not many people wait till they're 18 nowadays though.

the legal age for females is 16, men 18. physical and mental maturity is imperative to withold and sustain a healthy safe sexual relationship. need the maturity to make informed decisions about your sexual health.

I would guess because your body is not fully developed and it is more vulnerable to infections. This is probably more true for women than men.
