Vegitarians break down as follows
Pesco:eats fish
Lacto-Ovo:eats Eggs and Milk products
Vegans:No animal products, including usually honey.
Freegan: Pref. Vegan, but will eat anything.
There are a few more, but all vegitarians have their own rules anyway.
Some Vegitarians consider eggs, fertilized or not, meat.

Vegetarians do eat eggs, vegans do not. There is a sub-category of veggies that do noy eat eggs but the group name escapes me today.
Unfertilised eggs are not, and never will be, an animal.
David ( above ) is right. Hence I only eat eggs from out own chickens which are free to roam around the fields and live a full, natural life. If they don't lay, thats up to them.
We also end up with a paddock of cockerals who are allowed to life a full and natural life

Vegans don't eat any animal products. This also includes milk and cheese.
Many vegetarians eat eggs, milk, and cheese.
Eggs (if fertilized) have the possibility of becoming a chicken.
The eggs you buy at the store have almost no chance being fertilized (unless from free range chickens) and couldn't have ever become chickens.

Lacto-ova vegetarians can eat all the eggs they want. Vegans cut all the animal products out, therefor, no eggs. Factory farming sucks, chickens have a pretty sh*tty time, some don't support it by avoiding what they're producing. Some veiw eggs as unborn fetuses.....it's a matter of opinion

Lacto ovo vegetarians do eat eggs, but lacto vegetarians don't. Eggs are not considered to be an animal, because the eggs you get in the store are not alive. The eggs have not been fertilzed, and there isn't, never was, or never will be a chick within them.

Because eggs come from birds (chicken mostly), and vegetarians don't eat meat.
For your information, some vegetarians do eat eggs, but not meat. There are different kinds of vegetarians.

I am a vegetarian and I eat eggs and I drink dairy milk.& even eat some cheese as long as there's no animal fat in it.. (no animals had to be killed to consume things things.) Vegetarians don't eat meat because animals have to be killed to eat meat.. that includes poultry and fish! Easy to be a Vegetarian
It is Vegans that don't eat meat, poultry, fish,
eggs, dairy products. It's hard to become a Vegan!
I don't want to give up cheese or margerine or cottage cheese! As for milk some soya milk
or rice milk is cheaper than Regular Milk! I get
which ever milk is cheapest at stores! Sometimes I do get milk from Goats or Cows from a farm!

Some Vegetarians will not eat anything that came from an animal. Eggs, Cheese, Milk, etc.
My mother was a Vegetarian, but ate all those things.
It is usually a stricter type of Veggie-monster.
