They are looking for communicable diseases like tuberculosis or AIDS (so that they can be treated not so they can prevent entry into the country) a medical problem like COPD is not a concern.

I don't see why not! It's Chronic Obstrutive Pulmonary Disease--which I've had for a number of years. It's called a disease, but certainly isn't contagious!! Mine came from GERD (gastric reflux that came up my esophogus at night and leaked into my lungs. After 12 days in the hospital and their vacumming my lungs out! my lungs cleared up. My pulmonologist said to put a cinder block under the head of my bed and sleep on that incline to prevent the reflux. I found that a 4" incline works perfectly for me and I've been very healthy, breathing WELL after so long, this last year and a half. I do take an antacid tablet when I've eaten a large dinner, even tho' I never ever felt "hearburn". I was Dx'd with GERD and COPD.
Good Luck

ditto for the previous -- COPD shouldn't be a problem. It is not totally dehabilitating, no contagious, etc.
