It is much less likely because it's spread by the exchange of bodily fluids - which a condom helps to prevent, but you should get checked reguarly either way!

Unless the condom broke or was not worn properly, you have less than a 1% chance of transmitting HIV. If you're worried about it, go get a rapid HIV test (takes about 20 minutes at the public health department or any AIDS center and is free) to ease your mind. They can't guaruntee results that may have been transmitted within the past 2 weeks of testing, but you won't sit there wondering for a week while the blood tests are done.

I am living proof. You can get infected with HIV while using a condom. Make sure you or your partner has the right fit, use new condoms (date is stamped on the wrapper) that have been stored in the correct environment, and double wrap if necessary. Bottom line ---- there is always a chance.

You can't contract AIDS - it develops from HIV.

And yes, you can get the HIV virus if the condom tore, or was damaged letting fluids pass through.

YES: The only fool proof method of not contracting HIV or AIDS through sex is Abstinence.

What does it mean to be abstinent?
While abstinence may have different meanings for different people, in simple terms, abstinence is not having sexual intercourse. For some people, abstinence means having no sexual contact with a partner. For others, abstinence means having no genital contact with a partner. Abstinence from intercourse does not have to mean lack of sexual expression and satisfaction, because there are so many other pleasurable things you can do.

As always, there is a possibility. Any STD is transmitted sexually by the seminal fluids or vaginal fluids. If none of these fluids were exchanged than you have a pretty good chance that you have nothing to worry about but then again there is a possibility.
