Shortness of breath is a sensation that someone gets often associated with a lack of oxygen. You can feel short of breath if you are tired. Many times this is medically important because there could be a cause to the lack of oxygen which could be life threatening. You can become short of breath because of a heart attack, asthma, emphysema, or any of the many diseases that affect the lungs or heart.

My son ocassionally has shortness of breath after playing outside when it is hot. My son has Asthma. If you are having these syptoms I would go see a doctor about this.

improper body posture is what causes it.as long as u know the basic body mechanics, u will not experience 'shortness of breath'. even if u work for many hours.
having good posture,all the rest(body organ's function) will follow.
proper ventilation will also help.

sometimes when i don't get enough sleeep i'm short of breath. if i get worked up and stressed out enough then i can't breath well either
