No x-rays or blood work? If the doc knows for sure what you have it viral then there isn't really anthing he can do for you. Viruses have to run their course. Without some kind of test KNOWING what you have is viral would be pretty hard. If it doesn't clear up you might want to find a doctor who is willing to order tests and take better care of you.

Doctor sounds like a quack. You need to go to a specialist and get all of the proper test done. It is not normal.

I don't know about you but I would be running to find another doctor. They should at the least done an xray to see if you had a lung problem.

this happens to me too...and the taste of blood is blood..it is from coughing too hard..believe it or not.It is not an infection or anything serious unless you are coughing up alot of blood and its in chunks or dark..
