Yes. It's always nice to separate them. You can do it cheap using colored saran wrap.

I say yes, if a person doesnt like a particular kind of cookie it allows them to pay it forward to someone else without offending the baker. Also i dont want anyone else pawing my food or desert.

Whats a cookie party-everyone bakes a type of cookie to provide all of the attendees with their own sample (these days some people have gourmet cookie parties where they buy exotic cookies and share)

Not the ones I have been to. You show up with a bunch of cookies, then everyone lays out their cookies, then people take a few of each, in a mix and match fashion to get what they want and like.

I don't...I bring them on a platter, and the host of the party usually provides bags or containers for everyone to fill with their assortment. You could always bring little bags if you wanted to!
