Fact: doctors perform unnecessary surgerys on patients after spending a long night out pissing away money Fact: Drug companys are trying to get every single american hooked on some kind of drug Fact: Heart disease, cancer,Heart attack rates all went up coincidently after more people started taking perscription drugs. if that isnt the scary truth i dont know what is?

I think you are on to something there. Your facts add up, and there is A LOT of truth in what you have posted here. It IS scary, but it is the truth!
Ever notice those pharm reps in doctor's offices? They are there giving the doctor A LOT of reasons (with incentives) to push drugs onto the patients. I am serious. I am a nurse, I worked for many years with doctors, my sister is a pharmacist.... What you have said IS THE SCARY TRUTH!

Much of what you say is true. The quality of healthcare in America has declined precipitously since 1985 and we presently rank about 30th in the world. Pharmaceutical companies are almost solely focused on making money so they push for too many drugs and the most expensive drugs to be prescribed. Cancer deaths have seen almost no decline since we established a data base in 1955 although earlier diagnosis is the rule and there is almost no cancer that I would undergo treatment for. Heart disease has increased due to poor habits and a longer life span. The life expectancy of those with heart disease or with a heart attack has however improved markedly. The state of American medicine is terrifying and in my opinion the profession is unrepentant so I ask YOU to make a difference and that is partially why I offer my services at johnerussomd@jhu.edu - thanks for getting the truth out.

There are known cures for some of our greatest killers but...... don't go thinking you can get the medicine or treatment here! No way! If you eliminate the source, then there is no longer a need for the patches to fix the effects of said source ==== Big Pharm looses $$$$$ ==== the Big Man looses $$$$$$ ==== the lil man gets healthier & stronger ====== lil man kicks big mans butt!!!!! :-)

remember Dr's are PRACTICING medicine. They get things for promoting certain procedures and meds. But yeah...I love the commercials that show MORE side effects than the actual problem....your so right!
But I do believe there are some great Dr's...just few and far between.
