HIV/Aids is a very horrible disease . It effects everyone in one way or another . I am glad that you were smart and said that you wouldn't sleep with your boyfriend without a condom . The best way to fight HIV/aids is by people protecting themselves . You have to make sure you are safe and if someone else doesn't support that then you dont need them .

Even with out the thought of aids at 13 if you choose not to have sex and the boy brakes up with you that right there tells you that you made the right choice. He wanted only sex, he cares nothing for you. I do think sex at 13 is too young but that was not the question. When I was 15 I went thru the same thing and 10 months latter his new girlfriend had a baby. She was 15 at the time of the birth of their baby and he was 16 and had nothing to do with her. No matter what the age I am sure you want to be loved.

Yes, you were right. There are no signs or symptoms that will tell you if someone is infected. Always have protected sex until you are in a stable, committed relationship AND you want to have kids. At that point, you will both need to take tests for HIV and other STDs, and once you are sure you are both OK, you'll be able to try for a baby.
This guy was a loser - any man in your life that won't have protected sex or wait for it will be a loser - finish with them immediately, because YOU deserve better.

being a 13 yr old, u really shouldn't be having sex AT ALL. not for the next 3-5 years.
about the unprotected part, yes, u made the right decision. AIDS is hell.
what was ur boyfriend thinking , sex at 13??? if he's over 18, he should be in jail. you are a minor and sex with u is ILLEGAL.
is there any way u can get sex-education classes? believe me they'd help.
and forget ur ex-boyfriend, u don't need that type of pervert in ur life. sex isn't worth losing ur life over, especially not at ur age.

That's awesome that you made that decision. I'm not sure if the statistic is that high, but you're right...people of color are much more affected by HIV than any other group. Keep strong! And even if he wants to use a condom, think twice. Sounds like you're a smart, strong girl. Enjoy your youth for a while!

You're 13 and thinking of having sex? You made the right decision!!!! Keep making that decision. Once you lose your virginity you can't take it back. Do you want to grow up and tell your children that you lost it at such a young age? Keep strong!

if he loved you he wouldnt want to kill you and that is exactly what you should have done. I don't believe in unprotected sex until you are married and you know for sure your partner doesn't have a disease. My man is loyal and would never cheat on me(not being niave about it, he is not that kind of person) but we still have protected sex. its not worth it. plus i think you should wait longer to have sex. wait until you are like 16 or 17. i waited till this year and i am 18. i did it because i am with the man i am going to marry.

You did the right thing-why would your bf want to have unprotected sex w/ you? Does he want you to get pregnant? or have some kind of STD? If he's willing to do it w/ you then he'll do it w/ other girls and that'll put you at a higher risk for STDs. AIDS is the worst thing you can have in form of STDs it's a slow killer and eventually you will die-unlike other STDs where you can live w/ it.

Yes, you made the right decision. Why risk getting the HIV for a few hours of fun. Now you know you aren't going to die anytime soon. Think about it this way, once you get an STD, no one is going to want to taught you. Do you really want to live the rest of your life this way?

You made the right decision. Make it again and again. When you are ready and only you, You will know its the right time. BUT remember you are having sex with everyone he had sex with. Don't take chances untill you are both tested...don't grow up to fast.
