kiamboy, COPD will not affect your ability to get your visa as COPD is not contagious nor is it an infectious disease. However, it is not curable it is a chronic progressive disease. The progression though is usually very slow and manageable as long as you take responsible measures in maintaining your own health and remain under the care and supervision of a pulmonologist. Many, many people live long productive lives with COPD as long as they take care of themselves. However, several respiratory diseases are inclusive to a diagnosis of COPD. Further diagnosis will also better assist you in the appropriate care plan.

I am sure that you can get a Visa, but COPD is not curable. It is a progressive disease process. Although the progression can be slowed if you start taking care of yourself and stop smoking.

I think your chances are pretty good. COPD is not a transmissible disease and is not curable, but it is managable. Lifestyle and environment has a lot to do with it. Only a doctor can give you the best advise on living with your problem.

I don't see why that would stop you. No its not curable but its not contagious either. If you smoke stop now, before you do anymore damage.
