me and my friend have been best buddies for years,but yesterday we were at the park with some of my other friends and when they all went away,he told me he wanted to tell me something! it started raining,so we ran under a shelter-thingy and after a while, he turned to me and told me he loved me,that i was his number one! i froze in shock, and then i started to walk away (it was my instinct,it was all a bit overwhelming!) but,he held on to my hand gently and wouldnt leave me go! he asked if i felt the same,and i started backing away but i hit the side of the wall and i couldnt go any further.i stood there in shock!then he leaned into me and asked `can i kiss you?` i couldnt speak,the next thing i knew he was leaning in further and then he kissed me!when he stopped,i just looked at him in shock,then i ran away (i didnt know what to do)he called after me,but i ignored him.and now,i dont know what to do.he wants to know if i love him or not,but im confused!

if i say id ont love him,we wont be friends again,but he did say if i didnt love him,he would be friends with me but he would still always love me...but that would be weird! it would be awkward.we would never be PROPER friends again...

if i say i do love him,then what if it all goes wrong or something!? then we wouldnt be friends then anymore either! i really want to still be friends with him, because we are really close and if i lost him i dont know what i would do! please help!

Awwwww, how sweet! I had the same experience you know but i was sure that i like the guy too...Do you really have no feelings for him before that happened?I hope so you did cause i can smell love in the air...But you know, if you really are not ready yet about it, you should tell him...tell him that if he really loves you (like what he told you), he's willing to wait. You don't want to get involved and later realize you really don't like him, do you?
I guess the kiss is the added ingredient for your confusion, right?I can say it's your first...It's a nice move he got there i must say cuz he made sure you'll really think about this...If he's really sincere, he will not hurry for an answer and should not be demanding..i hope i shed some light!

Sweetheart, this is where you have to dig inside yourself and find the answer. No one on here can help you with this in the right sense. You have to ask yourself, "do I love this man"? If you do then by all means don't deny yourself the opportunity. It's obvious that he means alot to you but does he mean everything to you? If you share his feelings then go for it. If you say no and he's a real friend then he should understand and you will never lose his friendship. Either way, it's not fair to him and most of all yourself to not persue what it is you want. Wether it be a freindship or anything more. Good luck with this. You are in a heck of a place and I hope everything turns out okay in the end.

This is a tuff one. When a mans emotions are this deep for a woman it is a sensitive issue. You may have to prepare for the lose of a freindship. When a man is interested in a woman he is truley nterested. When it comes to rejection it hits hard. What you need to do is dit down with him and state your case. You like him in a friendship way and you feel that a relationship would make things difficult. Tell the truth and there may be a chance he can not accept it. Or if hes mature enough he will understand and respect your decision. The main thing here is to communicate and stand firm on your choice.

it has happened 2 me and cut off ties because i dont want 2 think of a friend liking me that way. its too uncomfortable 4 but i trust u will make the right choice.

Sounds as though you don't know how you feel about him...but from reading what you wrote you don't seem to have any special feelings towards him....you have to be honest with him and from there on be honest with yourself. If you feel uncomfortable with him, give yourselves space and let him know. It will probably never be the same again.
