All of those travel sites advertise "lowest prices", but I have always found the best deals thru the airlines!
I average around 100 flights a year, about 40% of that is international.

Go to Kayak.com. That site searches most airline sites and discount sites. After you search for the date you want it will give you options for cheaper faires, and a chart showing the highs and lows of when to buy rates for the cheapest price.

I have found the cheapest fares directly thru the airlines. You can look for those fares 331 days prior to the flight--they go fast, tho.......the cheaper fares.
