Well, I wouldn't send a text message if I were you unless you won't see him for weeks. Wait until you see him (I assume it will be very soon), and tell him to his face that you miss him a lot and you don't know why you broke it off. Ask him to forgive you. He might not like you anymore, but then again he might. Just be SURE you want to be back with him. I know I would be extremely pissed if I was willing to get back with a girl who broke up with me and she broke up with me again. Now that I think of it, I probably wouldn't ever take back an ex-gf. But I think it's worth a try in your case, because you're so young.
Oh yes, one other thing you need to learn: Most guys will never want to speak to you again after breaking up. It's just too embarrassing or painful in most cases. Even if they just ask you out and you refuse, you might drive them away for good. There really isn't anything you can do about it, so remember not to leave guys hanging when they ask you out. Make sure they know if you have accepted them or rejected them (use whatever REALLY good excuses you can muster when appropriate, like telling them you have a boyfriend). It hurts guys way too much when girls don't give a suitable answer. They do not take hints well, and they will not forget. But still many girls are afraid to say "no" or "I have a boyfriend" and they leave guys hanging on to some hope when they need to move on.
Anyway, if you like that guy, talk to him and explain yourself. Good luck!

Sending a text is always a bad idea when it comes to things that need to be spoken. Call him back. I'd be willing to bet that he'll be delighted, as most boys and men are very easy.
I'm also willing to bet that you'll get tired of him again shortly thereafter.

I think the chances of him taking you back are great. Put yourself in his shoes...he takes the chance on asking you out, he told you it was the best day of his life (he obviously likes you). As you said you panicked, so tell him that. I think he is just hurt and humiliated. I 'd say by all means text him.

You need to realize that he might not like you anymore because you broke up with him. That happens...
But if you want him back, then you should try talking to him. You can't just say you're back without him knowing. He needs to accept you first. If he does, then everything is alright.
If he doesn't... well, that's all you really could have hoped for anyway.

I would go ahead and send him the text, and honestly, he might want to get back together with you. but also understand if he does not.
But as far as the text goes, make sure you tell him how much you miss him and how much you like him--as a b/f (not friend)

NO! Sending him a text isn't a bad idea, If you both really like each other yet your both to stuborn to tell each other, then your just gonna continue down the same road. If you really do like him, and It sounds like he really liked you, how is he gonna know you really did like him and you just made a mistake if you dont tell him?

You did nothing wrong. You stated that you wanted to be friends and he hasn't responded.I would text him and see if he wants to hang out and I would still explain to him that you do like being with him but you don't want to be in a serious type relationship. He may be feeling insecure about your decision.but you were honest.Call him and offer him just you friendship,if he takes it good,if not oh well.
