we are on a tight budget, and only staying for 2 nights. we need to get to the base without spending a lot of money.

the cheapest way is to take a bus at the airport and either go straight to Vicenza and then take a bust to the US Army Camp or go to the railway station of Verona,take a train to Vicenza and then a bus from the station of Vicenza to the US army base. In Italy prices of trains and buses are rather cheap while to rent-a-car or take a taxi would be really expensive.
The distance from the airport is abt.40 miles to reach the Vicenza's railway station and then 4miles from there to Camp Ederle where is the US ARMY base.
