Yes.

No one really wants to loose.

But, there are methods to cope with any loses.

Set a standard for your self....Example: You will accept fifty percent losses.

Review the Losses and look for Causes for the losses....called Lessons learned.

I am a recreational ski racer.... I do not expect to win all of my Races...I am satisfied to win 1 out of 4 races...Twenty five percent. How do I settle for twenty five percent?? There are so many variables in ski racing....The snow conditions...the weather...My mental state...my competition.

There is a saying out there....Have one success...you can seek a second success...and so on and so on.

Best to you.

Think about what you learned from the events and how you can use that to ensure sucess in the future. Focus on something positive that came out of it no matter how small. There is always something good to be found even surrounded by a sea of negativity and hopelessness. It's important that every night before bed you think of at least 5 things that happened in the day that were good. Even if it's as simple as you smiled at someone and they smiled back. You may want to look into the book The Power of Postive Thinking, it's a good start in learning the glass really is half full!

Yeah i know failure well, Infact last night i walked off a stage to silence and a rolling tumbleweed... So, all today i've been doing things that require one hundred percent consentration and therefor give me no room to think of my failure. I advise that you just do some kind of activity or job or something that just wont allow you to think of anything else, then you wont be permanently dwelling on past failings.

p.s, it's so important you don't dwell on failings, look at what you did get. Look at what you have done, and be greatful for that event you won. You won something, dwell on that and use it to base your future events on. Good luck with everything, don't take it too hard :s

I don't think it's very easy to actually choose a way of accepting failure, instead, I think you deal with it naturally and automatically. Whether that is a period of grief, or depression, or getting the resolve to come out guns blazing again, I think we all have our own preset destinies. What I try to remember is that competing in any way comes with the risk of losing, so I make sure I'm able to deal with the consequences of losing before trying to win.

Failure is only when you give up. Analyze why you were not successful and change your approach so you improve next time. Don't concentrate on winning. Concentrate on getting better and doing your best. Don't let you happiness depend on material accomplishments. Let your happiness depend on friends and family. The best way to achieve happiness is to help other less fortunate than you.

Honey, I once entered a makeup contest in cosmetology school..where I got a standing ovation for my entry...then I didn't even place in the finals...when I got back to class, my classmates had bought be a beautiful trophy, and gave it to me..my teacher told me, "I never thought that things were fixed before this contest..:"...it meant so much to me..and it only goes to show you that life isn't always fair, and just because you didn't win, doesn't mean you weren't the best...Keep competing, and don't let it get you discouraged...God Bless, take the good with the bad, and enjoy your life!!!

The best way is just to find out the real reasons behind the failure
and not to loose hope in the success next time.

Remember that failure is success turned inside out. Learn from your mistakes and look forward not back.
