Awhile ago I had a mini stroke and was perscribed to take asprin. My question is how does Tylenol or acetaminophen interact with the asprin for aches and pains and headaches? Any suggestions would be great
thanks bunches

If you're taking aspirin to prevent mini strokes it's probably a very small dose (100 to 300 mg) a day. It's fine to use acetaminophen (called paracetamol in some countries) occasionally for aches and pains as well. They shouldn't interact.

basically asprin thins your blood making the flow through your heart easier..if you still get headaches and your taking asprin on a regular basis you need to see your doctor because asprin should be enough to take care of headaches

also be careful all those meds thin your blood and if you cut yourself or injure yourself and you bleed it will be harder to stop the flow

btw I know a lot of people say "See your doctor" but undertstand..I am a nurse and I do not have all the details of your condition I do however know that if you have headaches severe enough for apsrin to be inneffective he will need to perhaps prescribe you something else after doing a few little things like blood pressure tests and taking your history into consideration

You can't take asprin and tylenol at the samw time as they both work the same way and you are taking to much. However ibuprophen (advil etc) works differently and is also more effective if there is swelling involved.
