Yes it hurts lots lots lots....I would not do it.
No really why do you want a tat there?? IS it because it's trendy and you want to do the 'cool' thing?? Then I would pass if your having any doubts. Because if you crying and whining your going to annoy the tattoo artist and he will dig deeper. Then it really hurts.

You know I usually in my answers don't respond to grammer because I misspell and use wrong sentance structure. But damn girl I think you are to young to get a tat...even if your newly 18 wait 5 more years and see how you feel. This is on you forever!!
rewen??? RUIN really my 6 y.o. can spell better than that.

I have 12 tattoos in different places, one being on my lower back. It was stingy, and annoying But not painful.
Tattoo artists are professionals, if you move they will stop inking and wait til you settle down.

But if you are worried about the pain so much, why do it? Move it to a different spot that wont hurt so much.
But really, its more annoying than painful

My hurt. A lot. But it was still bearable.

The first time my artist went over my spine, I twitched - luckily, he was expecting it, and it did not damage the tattoo. After that, I didn't move.

A good idea is to have someone come with you - a friend, or parent, or someone. Just someone to talk to you, and tell you how GREAT it's looking. It helped me a lot for my brother to be there.

It depends on your tolerance for pain! Some people take it and some don't! I don't have one on the lower back but mine is on my shoulders and I took it really well! SO just relax and lean forward and let the artist do their work! If you don't want it then just go home!

It depends on how much meat you have on your bones there. Of course if you have nothing it is going to hurt more around the spine or the kidneys. You will sike yourself out but its really not as bad as you think it is. You won't move to much and you will make it through it.

My tattoos really hurt, and I knew how much it would hurt in that place, as its very close to the bone. I had numbing cream in that place when I had my tattoo and it didnt hurt at all! And i stayed still! Ask about it. Cost me an extra fiver - well worth it!

pain is different for everybody. i am getting a full back piece right now and it hurst. but i've never moved while being tattooed. you just have to take it. do something to distract yourself. i read when i get tattooed, that way my mind is on the words and not the pain. good luck! i hope you're not getting flash. please get original artwork. it looks better and is more special, since it is made just for you.

I have one on my lower back. It'll hurt around your spine. It doesn't hurt nearly as much on the meaty parts of your body. You'll be ok. Trust me, if I can do it, anybody can. I have a very low tolerence for pain.
