I don't suffer from clinical anxiety and depression, but I do get anxious and depressed at times. I've wanted to call it quits.
I've learned three things.
1. It's not worth committing suicide over depression or anxiety. I do favor euthanasia in rare instances of incurable physical pain.
.2. Whenever I want to call it quits, I don't. I take a good long nap and then I feel a little better. Otherwise, I wait for tomorrow, and things are different.
3. Serving others is a good way to feel useful, especially when I don't feel like doing it.
Depression and anxiety comes in waves, so all you have to do is wax you surfboard and ride the wave.
Read a good book, watch a good movie, listen to good music, or run around the block till your heart is pumping like crazy.
If all else fails, hug a tree.

Your sad attitude, is so common these days when people don't have Christ in their lives...nothing to live for, no hope, no light at the end of the tunnel...With the Lord God and His Son, in my life,..I could be homeless, and be contented knowing that I have Their love...and They love you too...Please, I am so sorry to hear that you feel this way..but with the Lord, all things are healed..you need to just pray for guidance, and your faith will do the rest...and you will find that you feel better, when you have a relationship with Our Father...Please don't let your current life get you down..you have something to offer, maybe teaching young kids how to defend themselves, or even women...and let the Lord protect you...Have a great Holiday, sweetheart and good luck x

Chuck, what you're talking about is a mental illness. You need to talk to someone who can figure out if you need to be on anti-anxiety medication, or if you can be helped just by talking. I know it seems kind of hopeless right now, but the difference you will feel will make you wonder why you ever felt the way you do now. PLEASE talk to ANY doctor -- an M.D., a psychologist, a psychiatrist, or even an emergency room doctor, as one other poster suggested. This will not go away on its own, but it CAN go away.
Good luck.

You sound like you're in the throe's of depression. You should really see a therapist. Go see you family doctor for starters and he will guide you in the right direction. And if you're spending an inordinate amount of time at your computer you should find something else to occupy your time. You need human interaction to keep your mind alive. And there is much to be said for prayer. God does not want you glued to your computer obsessing about death in any form. Please go the the doctor and get yourself up off the floor. Look up for your redemption draweth nigh. GO. PRAY. GET OUTSIDE AND SEE THE SUN. GO TO CHURCH AND SEE THE SON.

My suggestion is to see a psychiatrist, a medical doctor who specializes in mental issues. This doctor can diagnose your condition and recommend a treatment plan. Drugs are usually one part of the treatment plan. Talk therapy is another. Drugs and talk therapy, used together, usually works best. Good luck. There is no easy fix ... but it's a journey worth taking. Best of luck to you.
